JOURNEY BACKWARDS-TIMECAPSULE
As a youngster I would often get lost in doodling....School teachers do not like this much in junior high or high school for that matter. Young "Patrick" just would not pay attention in school and was sent to the office often or serve detention after school. So my art was considered "bad" because it was asscociated with poor behavior practices. Of course this was all going on at the same time they(the experts) were diagnosing "us" with ADD and giving us lethargy drugs...
This is the only piece I have that my dad and I (sitting at the kitchen table) drew together where he was teaching me shading, angles and spending time together that meant something........ perspectives.

Sadly, a lot of the artwork from junior high up was done on notebook paper so it is barely visible. Here is a bizarre collage of backgrounds learning how to sketch mountains , clouds, and a half tree in there. Also, it was a stage of taking two dimensional objects and making them more three dimensional. The date would be sometime in 1979,1980 ish time frame.
